The capitalist corporate media machine is hard at work making sure everyone “understands” that the fear of higher wages is causing the stock market to crash. Higher wages bad. Steadily rising corporate profit margins good. Got that everyone?
It could be true because it cuts into profits, but the NY Times had an interest piece too about another possible reason.
